Types of firewood/BBQ wood available for delivery.

We offer the following barbecue wood options:

  • Pecan wood is a popular choice for smoking because it offers a sweet, nutty, and rich flavor. It is highly versatile and pairs well with a wide range of meats, including poultry, pork, beef, and even delicate items like fish and vegetables.

  • Cherry wood is a premier, mild-to-medium strength smoking wood known for its sweet, fruity flavor and for producing a distinct, rich reddish-mahogany color on meats. It is ideal for pork (ribs, shoulders), poultry (chicken, turkey), and beef (brisket).

  • Hickory wood is a popular, versatile, and strong-flavored hardwood ideal for smoking beef, pork, and ribs, offering a rich, bacon-like, savory taste. It is intense, so it should be used sparingly or mixed with milder woods to avoid overpowering lighter meats like poultry.

  • Maple wood is an excellent, versatile, and mild smoking wood that produces a light, sweet, and slightly smoky flavor, making it ideal for poultry, pork, fish, and cheese.

  • Oak wood is a top-tier, versatile, and beginner-friendly hardwood for smoking, offering a medium-to-strong, earthy, and savory flavor that is rarely overpowering. It is ideal for red meats, brisket, pork, sausage, and ribs due to its long, consistent burn time and ability to produce a rich, dark color on meats

We offer the following wood for heating:

  • Oak firewood is a premier, high-density fuel producing approximately 24–29 million BTUs (British Thermal Units) per cord, providing long-lasting, intense, and consistent heat suitable for wood stoves and fireplaces. Red and white oak are among the best hardwoods for heating.

  • Birch is a high-quality, medium-density firewood offering excellent, consistent heat with 20–26 million BTUs per cord, depending on the species. It is known for easy splitting, quick ignition, and a pleasant aroma, with its bark acting as a natural fire starter.

  • Ash firewood is an excellent, top-tier heating wood, producing approximately 20 to 24.2 million BTUs per cord. It is highly regarded for being easy to split, lighting quickly, and producing strong, steady heat. It is often compared to oak in heat output but burns slightly faster.

  • Maple firewood,  is a premier hardwood, delivering approximately 24 million BTUs (MBTU) per cord when properly seasoned. It offers high-density, long-lasting heat and is prized for its clean burning and excellent coals..

  • Sweetgum produces moderate to good firewood, delivering approximately 18–21.3 million BTU per cord when properly seasoned. It is considered a mid-level, functional hardwood with decent heat output.

  • Pine firewood is a fast-burning, easy-to-ignite, and aromatic softwood that produces between 14 and 17 million BTUs (British Thermal Units) per cord. While lower in total heat output than dense hardwoods, it offers high energy per pound (up to 12,230 BTU/lb for pitch pine) due to its resin content. It is excellent for kindling, campfires, or shoulder-season heating.
